Please read this before you buy, and before you use Gold Position Manager ("the Software") with real money. It does not list every possible risk.
1. Trading can lose money
Trading gold (XAUUSD) and other leveraged products carries a high risk of losing money quickly. You can lose all the money in your trading account and, with some brokers and account types, more than that. Only trade with money you can afford to lose. If you are not sure whether trading suits you, ask an independent, licensed adviser.
2. Gold is fast
The gold price can move hundreds of pips in minutes, especially around economic news, central bank decisions, political events, the market open and after weekends and holidays. Spreads can widen a lot. Prices can jump past your stop loss or take-profit level without trading at it.
3. Leverage and margin
Leverage makes gains and losses bigger. If your margin falls too low, your broker can close your trades without asking you (stop out). Rules on leverage and negative balance protection differ between countries and brokers.
4. How orders are filled
Your broker fills every order at the price it can offer at that moment. A stop loss, a partial close or a break-even stop can be filled at a worse price than set (slippage), only partly, or not at all. Brokers have minimum distances for stops (stop level and freeze level), minimum lot sizes and lot steps; because of them an action can be refused, delayed or rounded.
5. The Software works only while it runs
The Software is a program inside MetaTrader 5 on your computer or VPS. It does not work when that computer is asleep, hibernating or switched off, when MetaTrader 5 is closed or frozen, or when there is no internet connection or power. In that time it takes no profit, moves no stop loss to break-even and does not put back a removed stop loss. Only orders that are already at your broker keep working: the stop loss of each trade, and the last take-profit if you switched on the setting that gives it to the broker. Read the System Requirements and Operating Limits.
6. Technology can fail
Your computer, Windows, MetaTrader 5, your internet line, your VPS provider, your broker's servers, our licence server and the Software itself can all fail, slow down or contain errors. Windows updates can restart your computer. Antivirus programs can block MetaTrader 5. The Software can act late, act differently from what you expect, or not act at all.
7. Your phone is not enough on its own
The MetaTrader 5 phone app does not run the Software. Trades you open on your phone are managed only while the Software runs on a computer or VPS connected to the same account.
8. Settings and automation
The Software does exactly what its settings say, also when a setting is a mistake. Automation can create a false feeling of safety. Do not take bigger positions because a tool manages them. Check your trades regularly and always be ready to manage them yourself.
9. Examples, illustrations and real trades
Examples, illustrations, screenshots and videos show how the features work. Some use made-up numbers. A real trade shown on our website or by a partner is one trade, chosen to explain the tool; it is not a typical result. Simulated, hypothetical, demo and past results have limits: they do not reflect real trading with real money and real emotions, they can be chosen with hindsight, and they do not show what will happen in the future. No one can promise that you will make money with the Software.
10. No advice and no suitability check
Nothing from PositionBoss (the Software, the website, our articles, videos, e-mails or support) is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. We do not check whether trading or any setting suits you.
11. Your country's rules
Some countries restrict or forbid leveraged trading, CFDs or certain brokers for private persons. You are responsible for following the law where you live.
12. Data from others
Calendar events, news, prices and other data shown by the Software or on our website come from third parties. They can be late, incomplete or wrong. Do not trade on them alone.
13. What we ask you to do
- 13.1Start on a demo account. Use real money only when you understand every setting you use.
- 13.2Start small, and use a risk per trade you can accept losing.
- 13.3Keep your computer awake and MetaTrader 5 running, or use a VPS.
- 13.4Check after every new trade that its stop loss is at your broker.
- 13.5Know how to manage and close your trades by hand, on your computer and on your phone, and do it whenever something looks wrong.
- 13.6Read the alerts and messages of the Software.
- 13.7Test every update on a demo account first.
By using the Software you confirm that you have read and understood this Risk Disclosure.
